Waynetown - Elizabeth Ellis, 84 of Waynetown died at 7 p.m. Friday in Culver Hospital. She was admitted Thursday morning. She had suffered from a heart condition. At age 3, she moved to a farm south of Waynetown and lived her entire life in that area until moving to Waynetown in 1966. She was a member of Waynetown Baptist Church and organizations of the church. She taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of Waynetown Eastern Star & charter member and first president of Waynetown Home Demonstration Club. She had been an active worker in the Montgomery County Farm Bureau. She was a graduate of Waynetown HS in 1916. She was born 15 Aug 1897 north of Crawfordsville a daughter of William D. and Mary E. Stewart Gray. She was married to Vern Ellis 2 Jan 1917. He preceded her indeath. Surviving area a son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Pat Ellis of Waynetown; a newphew and several cousins. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Reed Gray. Services at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Dormar Winger and Rev. Jim Hatfield officiating. BUrial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
